Beyond everyday open play, we run dedicated programs for children with sensory sensitivities, homeschool families, school groups, and parents who need a few hours off. Every program is supervised, age-appropriate, and built on the same safety standards as regular admission. A world built for kids.

Sensory-Friendly Sessions
Sensory-Friendly Sessions are dedicated hours when Planet of Play runs at lower lighting, reduced sound, and limited capacity — designed specifically for children with sensory processing sensitivities, autism, ADHD, or anyone who finds typical play environments overwhelming.
During Sensory-Friendly hours, we dim the overhead lights, turn off the LED dance floor, mute the music, and limit attendance to a small number of guests at a time. Staff are briefed on sensory accommodations and slow down their interactions with kids and parents. The result is a calmer, quieter version of the park where children who don't usually thrive in busy environments can play comfortably and at their own pace.
Siblings are always welcome. Parents stay with their children, and there's no time limit. A quiet recovery space is available off the play floor for breaks. We've designed these sessions in consultation with parents and child-development professionals, and we tune them based on what families tell us works.

School groups
School Field Trips
Bring your class to Planet of Play for a high-energy, supervised field trip that builds gross motor skills, social play, and physical confidence — in an indoor environment that's safe and on schedule regardless of weather.
Our field trip program is designed around the developmental needs of preschool through elementary classes. We host groups of up to 60 students, provide a dedicated park host who runs the visit start to finish, and offer flexible time blocks (typically 90 minutes to 2 hours) to fit your school day. Pizza lunch and group photo can be added. Bus parking is available on-site.
Teachers can request the program be tailored to specific learning objectives — gross motor development, sensory exploration, cooperative play, social-emotional skills. We can provide a group-leader briefing, a printed take-home from the visit, and a few minutes of structured time if your curriculum needs it. The default is open active play, but we'll work with you.

Weekly meet-up
Homeschool Days
Homeschool Days are dedicated weekday mornings when Planet of Play opens at a discounted rate for homeschool families — offering structured play, peer interaction, and a weekly meet-up that gets kids out of the house and around other children in a controlled environment.
Homeschooling can be socially isolating for both kids and parents. Homeschool Days exist to fix that. Every week, we open the park to homeschool families at a reduced per-child rate, with optional themed activities (STEM challenges, group games, learning-through-play stations) for families who want a bit of structure layered on top of free play. It's also a chance for parents to connect with other homeschool families over coffee.
There's no minimum group size and no reservation required for regular Homeschool Day attendance, and the park stays open for general admission alongside — so younger or older siblings who don't homeschool are welcome too. Pricing is a flat per-child Homeschool Day rate that's lower than standard admission, and parents stay free as always.

Date night ready
Parent's Night Out
Parent's Night Out is a monthly Saturday-evening drop-off program — kids ages 4 through 12 spend three hours at Planet of Play doing supervised play, dinner, and themed activities while parents get a rare night off.
We staff Parent's Night Out with a higher-than-usual ratio of trained team members, including child-care-certified leads. Kids do age-appropriate play, eat pizza, watch a kid-friendly movie or do a craft, and pass time with peers in a safe, supervised environment. Parents drop off at 5pm and pick up at 8pm. It's a date night, a we-just-need-to-clean-the-house night, or a few hours back to yourself.
Pre-registration is required since slots are limited, and your child's emergency contact and pickup-authorization information goes through us at registration. Allergy and dietary accommodations are handled with advance notice. Siblings can attend together at a reduced sibling rate. Same-day cancellations are non-refundable but transferable to the next month's session.
