Toddlers don’t need a bigger playground. They need a smaller one.
Planet of Play is an indoor playground at 2410 E. Moreland Blvd in Waukesha, built with age-separated zones so your one-year-old isn’t sharing a slide with a ten-year-old. The Mini Zone is soft-foam, low to the ground, and designed for kids who are still figuring out walking. When they outgrow it, the Kid Zone is right there.
It’s climate-controlled and screen-free, which in southeastern Wisconsin means it works in February, in a thunderstorm, and on the fourth consecutive gray day when nobody can face another morning indoors at home. Strollers come in with you, there are changing tables and a nursing space, and you get in free.

The Kid Zone — Ages 2 to 7
When your toddler graduates, the next zone is ten feet away.

This is the zone that keeps working as they grow, which matters if you have a two-year-old and a five-year-old and need both of them happy in the same building.

The Best Time to Bring a Toddler
Weekday mornings. Doors open at 10am Monday through Thursday, and the first ninety minutes are the quietest stretch of the week — before school lets out, before the after-work rush, and squarely inside most toddlers’ best window of the day.
Weekends fill up, and Saturday mornings open earliest at 9am if you want to get ahead of it.

Toddler FAQs
What age is the toddler area for?
The Mini Zone is designed for ages 0 to 2 — soft foam structures, sensory play, and crawling areas. From age 2, kids move into the Kid Zone, which runs through age 7.
Is there a separate area for babies and toddlers?
Yes. The Mini Zone is its own age-separated space, so infants and new walkers aren’t playing in the same structures as older kids.
Do I have to pay to go in with my toddler?
No. Adults enter free with a paying child. Adult play access is limited to the bounce house, wave slide, and first-floor foam ball areas.
Is my baby free?
Infants under 12 months are free when held for the entire visit. From 12 months, full admission applies.
How much is a toddler’s admission?
$24 for two hours from check-in, for any playing child up to 51 inches tall.
How long can we stay?
Admission covers two hours from check-in.
Are socks required?
Yes. Grip socks are required for everyone entering the play areas. You can bring your own, or buy them at the front desk — $4 for kids, $2 for adults.
Can I bring a stroller inside?
Yes. Strollers are welcome on the play floor, so you don’t have to leave anything in the car.
Is there somewhere to change a diaper or nurse?
Yes. Planet of Play has changing tables and a dedicated nursing space.
